The SESbot is a robotics obstacle avoidance project developed by SES members. Initially meant just for exhibition at the JKUAT Tech expo 2013, the project was adopted for further iterations by the SES projects committee. The SESbot covers key engineering concepts within the field of Mechatronics and aims to equip members of different engineering fields with sufficient knowledge of design of obstacle avoidance systems for use both within academia and in the industry. Obstacle avoidance is a major and integral component of all automation equipment. This ability is dependent on artificial intelligence been assimilated by any mechanism and being replicated with precision and accuracy in the mechanism.
